Observation 314386: Dibaeis baeomyces (L. f.) Rambold & Hertel

When: 2018-04-06

Collection location: Collinsville, Alabama, USA [Click for map]

34.1692° -85.8747° 268m

Who: Lisa Kimmerling (L_Kimmerling)

No specimen available

Notes:
Growing on loose, exposed soil at the top of a cliff near the edge of a pond (usually a full-sun area).

I was losing light, so I didn’t get any better shots (I will have to return another day)!

I was thinking it looked like Dibaeis baeomyces?

Recognized by sight: This is what D. baeomyces looks like when it’s sterile. Quite common, really. Just undercollected because it looks unidentifiable!
