Well, I guess no Caloplaca not-luteominima-or-bolacina for me.

In fact, quite a number of hypermaritime saxicolous species will grow on the hard stabilized soil of sea cliffs, e.g., Buellia, Lecania, Verrucaria. I wonder if it’s just that conditions are so ideal for lichen growth that the substrate doesn’t have to be especially stable.
