Growing among hardwood logs and sticks. Paraphyses straight with red pigments inside. Asci 8-spored. Spores smooth and lacking sheaths. Spore measurements: (24.3) 24.9 – 30.5 (34) × (11.5) 12.4 – 14.7 (15) µm, Q = (1.7) 1.9 – 2.3 (2.9); N = 30, Me = 28.1 × 13.5 µm; Qe = 2.1
