Collection location: Union Valley Reservoir, Eldorado National Forest, California, USA [Click for map]
(coordinates hidden from public) 1490m
This collection location was of particular interest as it was within ~1 meter of the water, and ~70 cm above water level.
I collected 9 examples along this 4 meter section of shoreline, but found no others anywhere along the 400+ meters of shoreline that I searched, nor further inland.
Soil was very sandy, mixed conifer forest, with mature Douglas fir within 10 meters.
