Observation 74989: Lycoperdon Pers.

Puffballs growing in D6B. This one was right by the D6A/D6B border, a few meters on the B side where the woods gets much darker — denser, and with the tree mix dominated by Balsam fir. There were a few scattered along the path — right in the path — including this one, for about ten meters, but none that I saw elsewhere in D6B (or anywhere else in that day’s travels).

…why is someone going through all of my past L. marginatum observations and voting against that ID all of a sudden?
