Old species #17.

This represents perhaps my best attempt to collect an entire whole fruit body of this type mushroom, which generally fruits continuously from mid June through much of Septmeber… on a sloped area of my lawn near a wooded are. The volval sac was not buried as deeply as usual for this type. Twenty foot high oak tree nearby.

I’ll dehydrate this one.

As usual, rooseveltensis does not yield a complete proposed fungal barcode sequence. On the other hand we have a very typical nrLSU sequence derived from our new data for this collection.
