 Public Description [Edit]

General Description:

City of DePere, Wisconsin, which actually includes both the East and West sides of the Fox River. Harder to map out on the grid since it is at an angle parallel to the Fox River which runs in a NNE direction.

Habitat Description:

Mainly suburban with patches of riparian, and wetland habitats.

Interesting Species:

Stinkhorns, Giant Puffballs, Fairy Rings (you can tell the age of the suburban area by the size of the fairy rings in the yards).

Notes:

Best places to look for non-lawn species are The Reserve near Humana on the west side, the East River Trail, and The Fox River Trail.

Lots of lawn species but edible mushrooms are questionable as there seems to be a lot of chemical lawn companies used.
