Name: Cristataspora flavipora
Author: (Murrill) Robledo, Costa-Rezende & de Madrignac Bonzi
Citation: Mycological Progress (2020) 19:725–741
Deprecated Synonyms: Ganoderma flaviporum (Murrill) Sacc. & Trotter
Notes: Cristataspora flavipora is morphologically
similar to C. coffeata, being differentiated by the arrangement of the endosporic ornamentation of the basidiospores. In the former, the ridges are mainly
transversally oriented, while in C. coffeata, the ridges
are mainly vertically oriented. Furtado (1967) considered the species to be a synonym of G.coffeatum; however, based on the difference cited above and phylogenetic evidences, we reject the synonym, as did Decock and Herrera-Figueroa (2007).
