Both Index Fungorum and MycoBank say: Pholiota highlandensis (Peck) A.H. Sm. & Hesler is an invalid name, citing the International Code of Nomenclature, Art. 41.3 (Melbourne), and that the current name is Pholiota highlandensis (Peck) Quadr. & Lunghini.
