I just noticed that in the Classification section for some genera below Polyporaceae, the “Family Polyporaceae” is linked to the now-defunct Name #61248. So that link may be broken, and the Classification should be redone.
Here’s how:
- If not already there, go to the genus.
- Edit the Classification, erasing its contents, and save the empty classification.
- Use the Copy from Parent to repopulate the Classification. (Polyporaceae is the parent).
- Propogate to Subtaxa

Sounds good

This Comment was posted in the other Polyporaceae before it was merged with this name (MO Name #17)

Summary: Sounds good

I don’t have a problem with that. It can always be changed later if needed. The recent publications just have Corda but they don’t explain why. A search for an answer didn’t produce anything.

See the comment about duplicate Names. Other users agreed that Name #17 (with author Fr. ex Corda) should be the survivor.

We have two versions of the identical name. [#81203]: IF, MB. They should be merged.
Which is correct (and why)?
- Polyporaceae Fr. ex Corda
- Polyporaceae Corda
