Disc: < 2 × 3 mm in diam. Cupulate to convex- expanded, color varying widely from yellow through shades of olivegreen, color often bleaching so disc appears whitish or cream-yellow, becoming black with age.

Range and Seasons of Fructification: North America, Australia , Indonesia, Japan, Jamaica, Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.

Season: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter (most collections from Spring to Autumn).
