Pileus: 2–5 cm., convex to plane, at times with an acute umbo, viscid, bright orange-red overall when young, becoming orange to orange-yellow overall or toward the margin.
Gills: adnate to slightly decurrent,distant to subdistant, broad, waxy, white to yellowish
Stipe: 4–10 cm long, whitish to yellowish, glabrous to fibrillose, viscid when young
