I’m not a nomenclature expert, but it looks like this depends on whether T. pallidum is legit or illegit.
Mycobank says legitimate, see http://www.mycobank.org/name/Tremellodendron, in which case T. pallidum seems to have priority. (Thelephora pallida Schwein. goes back to 1832, while Thelephora schweinitzii Peck. goes back only to 1878)
But Index Fungorum says T. pallidum is illegitimate, see http://www.indexfungorum.org/..., in which case T. schweinitzii wins.
So what to do when the official nomenclature databases are at odds? Perhaps MO should keep both as **un**deprecated synonyms. Should we notify the nomenclature DBs and hope that they sort it out?
Index Fungorum lists this as the current name for Tremellodendron pallidum. Does anyone know why it is depreciated here?
