This small slender squamulose species is re- markable in the possession of a number of interesting characters. The spores are small and nodulose like those of I. relicina (Moser 1978) and I. tahquameno- nensis and possess, at times, a blunt-shaped nodule as in I. tahquamenonensis (Stuntz 1954, Matheny & Kropp 2001).
