Sporocarps clustered or occasionally loosely gregarious. Sporothecae either stalked or sessile on a restricted base, turbinate, shiny brown, 0.3-0.5 mm broad, 0.5-1 mm high before dehiscence. Stalk thin, erect, furrowed, dark brown, usually short, occasionally up to 50% of the total height. Peridium single, somewhat iridescent, membranous, translucent, with a circumscissile line of dehiscence, fugacious above, persisting as a deep cup below. Capillitium olivaceous, composed of simple or sparsely branched elaters, elaters smooth, with two loose spirals, 2.2-2.6 µm diam. with slightly swollen tips, 3 µm diam. Spore-mass brown. Spores olivaceous, verruculose, 10-11 µm diam. Plasmodium unknown.
