Agrocybe Singer is characterized by the collibioid to tricholomatoid basidiomata with rusty brown, tobacco brown or dark brown spore-print, a glabrous or sometimes aerolate pileus surface, its basidiospores with a broad germ-pore (sometimes some reduced), a hymeniform pileipellis composed of a palisade of inflated cell and with conspicuous cheilocystidia.
