Pileus brown to pale brown, glutinous to subviscid, soon drying and then appressed fibrillose, with appendiculate veil remnants at margin when young, soon inconspicuous. Flesh is white and unchanging. Tubes and pores vinaceous pink. Stipe lacunose-reticulate- to alveolate-reticulate, white above at first and with brown reticulation below, eventually dull to pale brown overall, white at base. Spores are amygdaliform with short-cylindric pegs and/or broad irregular warts confined to the broad, equatorial region.
