Brief Description:

Pileus is rhubarb red and finely squamulose with margin forming a veil. Squamules will coalesce with age. The marginal veil eventually forms shaggy fragments with maturity. Stipe is also rhubarb red at first, but this color fades with age. Tubes are bright yellow and cyanescent.
Spores are ribbed with these cross-striate.
