“…reports of Phellinus laevigatus (P. Karst.) Bourdot & Galzin and Phellinus pomaceus (Pers.) Maire in North America are incorrect and should be attributed instead to Phellinus betulinus (Murrill) Parmasto and Phellinus pomaceoides Vlasák & L.W. Zhou, respectively.”
