Might be an older name for P. atropurpurascens according to Karen Nakasone.

However that paper didn’t look into taxonomy

And just followed IF, according to the authors. P. subhepatica might be the older name – however it was collected in Casapi, Peru while P. atropurpurascens was collected in Sri Lanka, so DNA sequencing from topotype collections is needed to determine if these names are synonyms.
