Name: Pinus strobus
Citation: Species Plantarum 2: 1001. 1753. (1 May 1753)
A starting page for the known associated fungal symbionts and saprotrophs of Pinus strobus in situ. (t.b.d.)
why would you deprecate it?
that gives a slightly different classification scheme than Erlon:
class: Equisetopsida C. Agardh
subclass: Pinidae Cronquist, Takht. & W. Zimm.
order: Pinales Gorozh.
family: !Pinaceae Spreng. ex Rudolphi
genus: Pinus L.
I wonder, do we need Name Pages for all the possible mycotrophic vascular plants?
If yes, I would suggest that the known mycotrophic vascular plants get a separate page, such as for instance, Vascular Plant Mycotrophs, and do not add more clutter to the already quite bizarre Name Pages. Adolf
