Nomenclature: Notes on Taxonomy: [Edit]

The Index Fungorum considers Camarophyllus to be a synonym for Hygrocybe, so they list this species as H. pratensis. The type species for Camarophyllus is C. pratensis according to Singer. The type for Hygrocybe is H. conica, so apparently Bon has concluded that this isn’t a good distinction. Please update this if you have any more info on why this is not a good genus.

— DNA testing seems to show that it belongs to its own section near the “Omphalina group”, Pseudoclitocybe cyathiformis and Cantharocybe gruberi are part of this group. HB
