Lactarius deterrimus: never has scrobiculae on the stipe, latex turns turn wine red after 15-20 minutes
Lactarius salmonicolor: never stains green, grows under Abies (fir) , latex turninge wine red after one hour
Lactarius sanguifluus: has wine red latex from the beginning
Lactarius semisanguifluus: cap always without silvery zonation, but usually greenish-winebrown, latex changes to wine red within 5-10 minutes
Lactarius quieticolor: with duller colours, latex turning wine red after 20 some minutes (never in Lactarius deliciosus), and has the coarsest spore ornamentaton in this group
Lactarius rubrilacteus darker red Latex and cap, associated with Dug-Fir, Cap also has orange-red zones and green stains,
