HABITAT hardwood forest on northwest slope; SUBSTRATE Quercus bark; ASPECT partly sunny; NOTES pale greenish granular scattered crust, K-, C-, KC-, UV+ice; ASCOCARP pale whitish to brownish to grayish, convex, immarginate from first, all tissues hyaline except sometimes slightly brownish epihymenium, all parts K-and POL-, paraphyses weakly branched and only slightly expanded near tips, asci small with IKI-walls and IKI+ tip with IKI-canal (seen end-on); SPORES 8 per ascus, hyaline, smooth, simple? or 1-septate?, ~10-15 × 2-3 µm, not curved even in ascus.
