HABITAT chaparral on sea cliffs in small west-facing cove; SUBSTRATE branch of Rhus at edge of beach; ASPECT partly sunny; NOTES thin tan scurfy crust, algae present, black lirellae epruinose, exciple carbonized and closed below, epihymenium brownish, hymenium hyaline I+r, thallus K- C- KC-; SPORES 8 per ascus, hyaline, 4-septate, ~20 × 6-7 µm, constricted a bit at each septum, walls evenly thin, all lumina equal, ends rounded, slightly curved to straight, I+r.
