Observation 10447: Amanita flavoconia G.F. Atk.

When: 2008-06-30

Collection location: Forest near Elgin St., Pembroke, Ontario, Canada [Click for map]

Who: Paul Derbyshire (Twizzler)

No specimen available

In mixed woods in Eastern Ontario, being devoured by slugs. Cap patches gone from all three specimens, and stems trashed, so it could be a Hygrophorus instead, but it resembles Observation 10446 enough for me to suspect A. flavoconia.
