While not precisely synonyms, that’s the closest I could come to the relationship between these two names. This way the pages for the anamorph and the teleomorph each show the other. Does this seem like a good solution or is this sort of relationship worth representing explicitly?

This is an update to the name for the anamorph, Ceriomyces terrestris, which makes the fruiting body look like white fingers sticking up. The conk is still called Abortiporus biennis.

specimen and photos! Darvin, can you explain more about the name change? I don’t see Abortiporus biennis as a deprecated name on the name page for this species, and Index Fungorum still lists A. biennis as the correct name.
