Observation 10606: Trichaptum biforme (Fr.) Ryvarden

When: 2008-08-07

Collection location: Forest near Elgin St., Pembroke, Ontario, Canada [Click for map]

Who: Paul Derbyshire (Twizzler)

No specimen available

Lilac fringes suggest T. biformis but I’d call that ID tentative at best. Resembles also Trametes versicolor with the zoning of the caps.

The second and third photos were taken over six weeks later, on Sept. 21. They show, respectively, a close-up of some brackets and the underside of one.
