This are pics of Boletus satanas after one day in the fridge and before returning to the wood during very hot humid weather conditions and in very old stage of age. Note the rosy red cap! There has been a forma roseodermata described but as I see it it is just a form when after much rain it begins to dry up again and the fruitbody gets some water again it turns that reddish. That can be said for many other Boletus species as well. Look at my observations from the 22nd of July.
