Observation 10730: Cudonia circinans (Pers.) Fr.

When: 2008-08-19

Collection location: Jemez Mountains, Los Alamos, New Mexico, USA [Click for map]

Who: Douglas Smith (douglas)

No specimen available

Found under d. fir and spruce. These are more like what I have seen in the Oregon Cascades, the ones I saw the day before in the Sangre de Cristos had a darker stipe. Looking in the books, it doesn’t seem that the darker stipe matters.
