These dark agarics were sometimes difficult to spot. In the larger photos, try finding and counting them all!

These were all over coastal New Brunswick that week.

Tall, with a quite-dark brown cap that may lighten near the center, rim curving down, center depressed with age. Stem paler brown with white at the foot. Pale grey gills somewhat descending stem.

On and near rotting wood in the Acadian forest.

Often found near the species in obs. 10931.
