Observation 10942: Amanita Pers.

When: 2008-08-29

Collection location: Saint Martins, New Brunswick, Canada [Click for map]

Who: Paul Derbyshire (Twizzler)

No specimen available

Notes:
Tall, stately, with a ring zone halfway up the stem and a flattish-umbonate tawny cap, in spruce duff and near the bases of two trees in Acadian forest. Radial marks near edge of cap. Can’t rule out a grisette-type Amanita.
