Observation 10943: Amanita elongata Peck

When: 2008-08-29

Collection location: Saint Martins, New Brunswick, Canada [Click for map]

Who: Paul Derbyshire (Twizzler)

No specimen available

Yellow cap, whitish stem with yellow ring — I thought of Amanita flavoconia, but it can’t be. 1. It’s on wood. 2. No yellow patches at all on cap. 3. Missing scales on stem and particularly at stem base.

On a tree stump in Acadian forest.
