Observation 11103: Callistosporium Singer

When: 2008-08-19

Collection location: Jemez Mountains, Los Alamos, New Mexico, USA [Click for map]

Who: Douglas Smith (douglas)

No specimen available

Found on needle duff, pine and spruce. Look to be white spored, and against the needle duff bright yellow, at home the proved to be a little brownish. They were slight, only 1-2 cm in diameter, with the stipe only a few mm thick.

It would be nice to be able to get a name on these, they were cute in dense groupings in the duff.
