I think A-rita is bang on (virtually, visually) with this one.

There’s not even a slight similarity with the real Boletus satanas in this bolete…

no bunky stipe with pink and yellow hues mixed with red, no almost whitish to greyish hat nearly twice to thrice as big as this one and no unplesant odour in age along other features … but both species have one thing in common: they are very very beautiful and in no way satanic at all.
