Observation 11162: Lepiota (Pers.) Gray

When: 2008-09-15

Collection location: Forest near Elgin St., Pembroke, Ontario, Canada [Click for map]

Who: Paul Derbyshire (Twizzler)

No specimen available

Notes:
This looks like a tiny Lepiota, with the scaly parasol cap, but no ring and the very small size (< 1 cm wide) make me dubious of that identification. Nonetheless it might be.

Photos aren’t the best due to the very small size of their target.

Amount of white in cap, even toward center; tiny size; and lack of a ring all point away from that identification.
