Observation 11246: Russula fragilis Fr.

When: 2008-09-15

Collection location: Forest near Elgin St., Pembroke, Ontario, Canada [Click for map]

Who: Paul Derbyshire (Twizzler)

No specimen available

Notes:
Pinkish, small and fragile, with greenish tones in the center, these look like R. fragilis. Scattered around an area of low, damp pine woods where another, larger and more robust Russula species (obs. 11245) and several other mushrooms were found.

First two photos are of one specimen. Next two are of another. Last is of a third, which I left to grow in peace where I found it.
