Observation 11496: Entoloma P. Kumm.

When: 2008-09-21

Collection location: Forest near Elgin St., Pembroke, Ontario, Canada [Click for map]

Who: Paul Derbyshire (Twizzler)

No specimen available

Pinkish attached gills suggest Entoloma, perhaps in one of those sections sometimes considered to be seperate genera like Nolanea and Leptonia.

Other than the pinkish gills, your standard-issue LBM in mixed woods.

Two gill photos are included here, taken in slightly different light and at a different angle to the camera flash. The gills look more grey-lilac in one and more clearly pink in the other.

One single gill is seen, in the second photo, to be forked.
