Notes:
Definate Laccaria species but neither L. amethystina (common in my area) nor L. laccata (although may be part of the L. laccata group, at least in Aurora. Bright reddish-orange cap, hollow stipe. Photos should tell the rest, except it was found near Quercus palustra (Eastern red oak) which is non-native to this area.
