Observation 11673: Parmelia sulcata Taylor

When: 2008-09-29

Collection location: Southeast Portland, Multnomah Co., Oregon, USA [Click for map]

Who: Daniel B. Wheeler (Tuberale)

No specimen available

Seagreen lichen with white veinations, central portion somewhat bubbly? I particularly like this photo because of the 12-spotted ladybug in the upper right-hand corner, which I didn’t notice until after I took the picture.

I see the USFS claims Flavopunctelia flaventior occurs infrequently in the Columbia River Gorge. (I’ll send you species lists for your area in a minute.) Could well be.
