Observation 11688: Platismatia glauca (L.) W.L. Culb. & C.F. Culb.

When: 2008-09-29

Collection location: Southeast Portland, Multnomah Co., Oregon, USA [Click for map]

Who: Daniel B. Wheeler (Tuberale)

No specimen available

This pale sea-green lettuce-like lichen has tiny scallops on the edges of the thallus, which are also raised from bark. (See upper and right-hand portion of photo). After I brought the photo home and looked at it on my computer, it is apparent I also have several lichens in this photos, including the deeply-cracked dark-brown lichen in the center of the photo.
