Observation 11742: Rhodocollybia Singer

When: 2008-09-29

Collection location: Forest near Elgin St., Pembroke, Ontario, Canada [Click for map]

Who: Paul Derbyshire (Twizzler)

No specimen available

Notes:
These LBMs had bright white gills when overturned. Found in mixed woods.

Interestingly, the flesh is white inside, with a brownish outer layer that makes the stem and cap surface brown. This seems to include the cap’s undersurface, above the gills but below the rest of the cap.
