Got a shot of the underside. No pores discernible, either at the camera’s highest zoom or squinting at it with my eye up close. And I can see things less than 1/10 of a mm wide that way, ordinarily.
It’s a very small, juvenile conk, so perhaps they haven’t developed yet, or are incredibly tiny. It certainly looks like P. betulinus…
