Observation 11888: Neolecta irregularis (Peck) Korf & J.K. Rogers

When: 2008-09-29

Collection location: Forest near Elgin St., Pembroke, Ontario, Canada [Click for map]

Who: Paul Derbyshire (Twizzler)

No specimen available

Notes:
More earth tongues, scattered in pine duff and moss, but this time numerous instead of just a handful.

(The silver cylinder in the lower right corner of the last shot is one foot of the tripod. I shot that one from the hip, without removing the camera from the tripod; messing with the tripod is frequently more trouble than it’s worth for wide-angle shots like that, which tend to come out reasonably sharp without its steadying.)
