Observation 11959: Agaricales sensu lato

When: 2008-10-04

Collection location: Larch Mountain, Multnomah Co., Oregon, USA [Click for map]

Who: Daniel B. Wheeler (Tuberale)

No specimen available

Notes:
Tiny gilled mushroom. Cap 1cm across the largest, with pink in the center and zoned white around the outside. Glisteny appearance is from last night’s 2 inches of rain – probably more here. Stipe is pink as well. Gills are white and well-spaced, suggesting a possible Marasmius to me. Just this one little cluster, possibly on buried wood but otherwise just mounded gravel and soil next to the highway.
