Observation 12040: Nidulariaceae Dumort.

When: 2008-10-05

Collection location: Southeast Portland, Multnomah Co., Oregon, USA [Click for map]

Who: Daniel B. Wheeler (Tuberale)

No specimen available

Notes:
Found under a Colorado Blue spruce, on the ground, probably growing on small twigs. Abundant. Small, yellow capsules, less than .5cm across. I’ve never heard anything about a yellow Nidulariale. None have as yet broken open, except the one shown in the photo, containing a single “egg.”
