Rather a pretty mushroom, with striking features. Thought about Mycena haematopus immediately, but slightly larger than most. Also cap too rounded. No basal tuft of white mycelium either. Found on flowering cherry branch, a rather unusualy substrate for my area as well. Photo taken in full shade, which seems to have bleached the photo of color somewhat. Actual mushroom is dark violet/ruby. Gills are concolorous with the cap or more violet. I’m tentatively thinking this is a Marasmius, but didn’t collect the specimen for micro work.
