This species is frequently displayed at the OMS Fall Mushroom Show, but I have not personally found it. I am, however, fascinated by the gelatinous base, and admit it is one of my favorite fungi to look at. It is poisonous, but still beautiful in its own right. Identification by Dr. Lorelei Norvell, assisted by Dr. Judy Rogers.
