Observation 12737: Collybia oregonensis

When: 2003-02-15

Collection location: Albion, California, USA [Click for map]

Who: Douglas Smith (douglas)

No specimen available

Found in Jackson Demo. Forest, at the base of a redwood, in a mixed redwood, d. fir forest.

Gills are very dense, and had an intense odor of almonds, with sweet-spicy odors also. Medium sized, about 4 inches in diameter.

Id’ed with Arora’s MD. I’m not sure if this has moved to Gymnopus or Rhodocollybia.
