Observation 12791: Cortinarius (Pers.) Gray

When: 2008-10-09

Collection location: Forest near Elgin St., Pembroke, Ontario, Canada [Click for map]

Who: Paul Derbyshire (Twizzler)

No specimen available

A rather anonymous brown cort in damp mixed woods, along the so-called “miracle mile”, which isn’t producing much this late in the season. The main focus of activity is apparently there during September, but moves to the jack pine stands and open white pine woods a couple miles away in October.
